What if your life is supposed to be a beautiful adventure, but the only way you get to live it is by seeking and finding your purpose? I believe we are all made for purpose, and that purpose is intended to bless others and leave a lasting impact on our world.
My life verse is Ephesians 2:10 "We are his workmanship (masterpiece [poiema]), created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared ahead of time for us to do." How cool is that? We were created, crafted, designed for a purpose, by a master craftsman that loves us and wants to show His love for others through us. In fact, that was his plan for our life all along... good works that God prepared ahead of time for us to do. What if the greatest adventure of this life is uncovering those good works, and doing them?
And what if that adventure is meant to be lived out each day, right where you are, in loving the people that cross your path. And also by following your curiosity... because your unique curiosity is there for a reason.
My curiosity led me to Rwanda five years ago, and what an adventure that has started. I'm currently working on a project that will double the income for rural coffee families and those living in poverty within reach of the coffee supply chain. I'm not doing it because I am a do-gooder. I'm doing it because God made this puzzle especially puzzly to me, and it feels worth solving. In fact, it kind of feels like it is a good work that God prepared ahead of time for me to do... it calls to me like a precious gift He hid for me in the narrative of my life.
This blog is a place for me to share the journey and to share my thoughts on all kinds of things, but mostly about what it looks like to seek, find, and live purpose. It's a beautiful adventure!
